What was the turning point of the author 'sand grandmother's friendship?

When they shifted to city from the village that was tbe turning point. Because when they shifted ths writer started going to an english medium school and his granmother didnt knew anything about whatever he was taught. They both didnt talked to each other much. Then later he was given a seprate room and they both lost their friendship.
