According to Mandela a man had twin obligations to his family and his parents then he has obligations to his country and his people. In a humane society one can fullfill these obligations according to one's ability. But in a country like South Africa one can not fullfill these obligations.

Mandela mentions that everyone has"twin obligations". The first obligation is towards family. The second is to work for his people, community and the nation.

Hope this helps you
