Principles of Satyagraha ​

Gandhi envisioned satyagraha as not only a tactic to be practised in an intense political conflict but as an extensive moderator for inequality and abuse.

He established the Sabarmati Ashram to prepare satyagraha. He claimed satyagrahis to serve the following principles (Yamas explained in Yoga Sutra):
