The united state states was mainly focused on the spread of communism through Asia and Europe. the USSR began to establish satellite nation that were also communist. The U.S.A feared communism and tried to counteract this by changing governments to democracy and setting up strategic satellite nations to counter act what they dubbed as "The red terror"
