Hii friend,
Sepoy Mutiny or the Revolt of 1857 was also known as the first battle of Independence and was the turning point in the history of India's freedom struggle.
As a result of this rebellion, the Mughal Emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar 2, was crowned the emperor of India. The revolt gained strength as Nana Sahib, Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, Tatya Top and many others joined in to fight the British.
