Accordingly, the emergence of the middle class was rooted in the transfor- mation of work under industrial-capitalism and shifts in occupational compo- sition over the course of the nineteenth century.

There was an emergence of middle class groups in 19th century because -

1) The people were motivated to emerge because of the preaching of ideas of philosophers .

2) Due to the increase in autonomy for business and industrial auto-capitalism , the middle class whose chief profession were small businesses started to increase in power .

3)By 19th century the liberal and

educated people of upper class began to support them which increased their power .
