hunter-gathers ate lots of different foods.

Foods would consist of things like fruit, vegetables, nuts, insects, small lizards and mammals of various . Many hunter gatherers, such as the Australian aborigines, would gather grass seeds and use them to make a bread (the seeds would be pounded into a rough flour, which was mixed with water, and then they would cook them). But grains tend to be a lot of work. Their main advantage is that you can store them for long periods of time. For hunter gathers, this would matter little.
