Young Italy is a well-known and popular political revolution or movement. It occurred in Italy around 1831. It was founded and led by Giuseppe Mazzini.

  • Mazzini wrote a letter to the King Charles Albert of Sardinia, in which he had asked him to unite Italy and lead them unified.
  • When a month passed by without the King making any significant effort, Mazzini realized that the King was not at all interested in meetings his demands.
  • Mazzini took matters into his own hands and found the movement.
  • The goal of this movement was to create the united Italian Republic.
