Elemental Business

For many years IYE has run exciting, effective courses and away days for companies, groups and organisations. These sessions energise the team, create new ways of relating and help define team values and goals. Most people refer to the day as 'transformational - for every area of life'.

SHEFFIELD INTERNATIONAL VENUES

The managers of each of our venues so enjoyed working with Ruth Adams from ‘In Your Element’ with her motivating and fun approach. We found the sessions helpfulboth as individuals and as a team as it assisted us in understanding ourselves and each other in a new, different and supportive ways and the practical examples provided, illustrated how our differences impact on daily life both in our work and personal lives. Ruth continues delivering workshops to various teams within our organisation, with great success, improving working relationships and given staff a new language with which to understand each other. I know other organisations would benefit from Ruth’s inspiring approach. Dawn Hickman - Director of HR & ICT – Sheffield International Venues

CHEVRON CORPORATION

Ruth Adams is a great trainer who has extensive knowledge of the PEP tool and the 4 elements. Ruth is passionate, energetic and very generous; a real joy to work with and learn from. We have been using PEP in one of our business units based in Africa. Its positive impact is due to people really understanding the 4 elements through using the metaphors it offers, to practically understand and change behaviour compared to more traditionally used tools such as Myers Briggs Type indicator. People remember the conversations and meanings that they have around Earth, Water, Fire and Wind more easily than a combination of letters. We have also found that PEP has been easily accepted within a very fast moving technical environment as people just "get it and use what they learn from their reports straight away and do not have to wait for an expert to explain things to them. The accompanying workshop "The 4 Elements of Success" is a great way of bringing a team together to look at their collective PEP reports and improving communication between individuals. interviews

Companies are using IYE to profile all interviewees prior to a job interview and this provides managers with insights that are often not evident at a face to face meeting, making the interview and hiring process more effective.
