Buddhism is still rather young in the USA and is stating to flourish, for myself and other Buddhists I have met I would say that there are more kind, compassionate and caring people who are not worried just about themselves are starting to appear more often and are working for the benefit of all people.

Buddhism, once thought of as a mysterious religion from the East, has now become very popular in the West, and is one of the largest religions in the United States. As Buddhism does not require any formal "conversion", American Buddhists can easily incorporate dharma practice into their normal routines and traditions.
