Apiculture:

Apiculture is the cultivation of honey bees. It is used for the secretion of honey from the honey bees. They are kept in a box - like structures which you can see in the attachment above.

Apiculture is also called as beekeeping. The word api means bee. The scientific name of bee is Anthophila. Bees are kept in colonies (groups) especially they are kept in man - made hives.

In apiculture, genus Apis are kept which are honey bees and produces honey. But Melipona stingless bees which are other honey producing bees are also kept there.
