How to do :-

Here, we are given with one of the fraction from which the other fraction should be subtracted. The answer by which we obtain by subtracting those numbers is also given. The both given values are in fractional form. So, first we should solve the problems which is provided in the bracket which is the big number in this statement. Later, we should subtract the obtained result and the answer to obtain the other number in this statement. So, let's solve!!

\:

Solution :-

{\tt \leadsto \bigg(\dfrac{9}{15} + 2 \dfrac{2}{5} \bigg) - (x) = \dfrac{2}{25}}

Let's, solve the bracket first.

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{9}{15} + \dfrac{12}{5}}

LCM of 15 and 5 is 15.

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{9}{15} + \dfrac{12 \times 3}{5 \times 3}}

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{9}{15} + \dfrac{36}{15} = \dfrac{9 + 36}{15}}

{\tt \leadsto \cancel \dfrac{45}{15} = 3}

Now, the statement becomes like this :-

{\tt \leadsto 3 - (x) = \dfrac{2}{25}}

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{3}{1} - (x) = \dfrac{2}{25}}

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{3}{1} - \dfrac{2}{25} = (x)}

LCM of 1 and 25 is 25.

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{3 \times 25}{1 \times 25} - \dfrac{2}{25}}

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{75}{25} - \dfrac{2}{25} = \dfrac{75 - 2}{25}}

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{73}{25} = \boxed{\tt 2 \dfrac{23}{25}}}

\Huge\therefore The other number is {\tt 2 \dfrac{23}{25}}

Answer:

\frac{123}{25}

Concept: In this question, we should know the operations of fractions.

Given: how much we subtract from \frac{9}{15} +\frac{22}{5} to get \frac{2}{25}

To find: subtracted value to get  \frac{2}{25} from  \frac{9}{15} +\frac{22}{5}

Solution: Let's assume the value which should be subtracted is 'x'

          Now form the linear equation

\frac{9}{15} +\frac{22}{5}-x =\frac{2}{25}

\frac{9+66}{15}  -x =  \frac{2}{25}      ( taking LCM of given fraction is 15 and solve it)

\frac{75}{15}-x= \frac{2}{25}

5-x= \frac{2}{25}

after solving for x

x=5- \frac{2}{25}

x=\frac{125-2}{25}

x= \frac{123}{25}

hence we will subtract \frac{123}{25}to get \frac{123}{25}
