If history has taught us anything, it has taught us that *anything* can be used to build houses and make furniture.
Seriously, people live in cardboard houses, or just corrugated metal, or plastic, or discarded goods of many kinds. Just look at the Favelas of Buenos Aires, or the slums of Mumbai.
