What were British policies after the revolt of 1856? :)

1 British Emperor took over the administration of East India Company. 2 The secretary of state was given vast power. 3 The Indian Council was the advisory council of the Secretary of State. 4 Indian civil service was organized. 5 Policies were made to protect landlords and zamindars and give them security of rights over their lands. 6 Army was reorganized and the proportion of Indian Soldiers in the army was reduced. 7 The British promised people of India- non interference in the sphere of religion.8 Considering Muslims responsible for the rebellion in a big way, The British confiscated the land and property of Muslims on a large scale.
