Ala-ud-din Khalji introduced “dagh” and “chehra”.
dagh: branding horses to prevent the substitution of good horses by inferior ones.

Dagh and Chehra were two military policies introduced by Mamluk king Allaudin Khalji.
Dagh was the special imprint on Khalji's horses (which were imported from Arabia). Sometimes people used to swap them with ordinary horses so he implemented this.
Chehra was the attendance given by showing your face to who is taking attendance. This was to avoid proxy attendance, which made his army more organized.
