The Civil Code of 1804

Explanation:

* The civil code was introduced by Napolean Bonaparte in 1804 after he crowned himself the king of France and invaded other regions like Maine,Warsaw etc.

*It mainly consisted of the following reforms:

- He abolished civil rights based on birth.

- Right to protection

- Introduced standard measurements.

-Freed peasants from serfdom and manorial dues.

-Abolished feudal system.

-Removed guild restrictions.

-Transport and communication systems were improved.

But after some time,many people saw the Napolean forces as invaders and the enthusiasm which was  in the beginning died.

-Forced conscription into the army,increased taxes seemed to turn people hostile to the idea of the civil code and the Napolean rule.
