Mahatma Gandhi believed that all human beings are God’s special people and must be treated equally irrespective of their caste, color, language, creed, region, and religion.
Initially he said that untouchability was impossible to remove. But during the national movement, Mahatma Gandhi made the eradication of un-touchability one of his goals. He said u untouchability was like a poison eating into the very vitals of the society. He called the untouchables Harijan, children of God.
