ANSWER:

Mathilde is unhappy with her life as she has been dissatisfied with her circumstances virtually since she was born.

EXPLANATION:

Mathilde feels the pain of her destitution firmly. She laments a ton throughout everyday life and goes through hours envisioning an increasingly luxurious life. While her husband conveys his pleasure at the little, humble dinner she has arranged for him, she longs for an intricate dining experience served on extravagant china and eaten in the group of well off companions.

She has no extravagant gems or clothes, yet these are the main things she lives for. Without them, she believes she isn't attractive. Mathilde being a dreamer who disregards the truth of her economy, carries on with the existence that is just found in her ravenous wants. Mathilde despises the way that she wedded underneath her and she experiences interminable discontent. She [Mathilde] endured unendingly, feeling herself conceived for each delicacy and extravagance.

She experienced the poverty of her home, from its mean dividers, worn seats, and revolting drapes. Every one of these things, of which other ladies of her group would not have known, tormented and offended her. Everything about her life makes Mathilde troubled. She has a worker young lady who tells the truth her "little house," yet all Mathilde can do is disappointment that she doesn't have resplendent rooms hung with woven tapestries and silks.

When her husband comes home and sits down to dinner, he is perfectly satisfied and feels blessed by what they have; contrarily, Mathilde is unhappy and disgruntled, imagining lavish dishes served in rich serving dishes.
