The systems of power sharing between Sri Lanka and Belgium was just opposite in them-----

In Belgium

1. AS in Belgium The government of Belgium shared their country's power with all ethnic groups.

2.Also powers were shared between central ,state also with local government to solve the problems if local citizens .

3.Also formed third government that was known ad community government .

4.Members of the government were selected from all castes or all ethnic groups.

In srilanka steps were involved to solve problems are -------

1.But Actually in Sri Lanka the system of power sharing was not understood by the the government of Srilanka.

2.They declared the official language in Sri Lanka Sinhala language it means that they do not care other ethnic groups it caused a great difference between them.

(i) The Belgium leaders tried to solve the ethnic problem by respecting the feelings and interests of different communities and regions, whereas the Sri Lankan government tried to solve the problem through majoritarianism.

(ii) Belgium leaders established a federal structure under which power was shared between the Union Government and its other constituent units whereas Sri Lankan leaders adopted Unitary Government structure.

(iii) The Belgium solution helped in avoiding civic strife whereas the majoritarianism in Sri Lanka led to the civil war.
