Maasai society consists of
retired and elder men as their chiefs and decision were made by these people. Later, British appointed the Chiefs for this
group and gave income from pastrol and non-pastrol source, which made them rich
and get involved in the trade. This in
turn made them to lend money to the poor neighbours for paying their taxes. Their wives and children took care of the
land and cattle.
