1. Due to the implementation of tax.

2. Due to the failure of fulfilling the 11 demands of Mahatma Gandhi.

3. Due to the tax and other financial problems during great depression.

Drawbacks:

1. The first disobedience movement came to an end without the revision of tax and prices of goods.

2. Most of the dalit communities were prevented from participating in it.

3. The Muslims didn't participate which led to the class division within the country which further made the independence delay but another decade
