7. Administrative services were started by them and many Indians had joined them too. I AS, Ifs, IPS services were introduced. They modernized Indian military and made it a winning force.
8. Developed English education system for masses. English became new language for uniting Indians and worked as a bond between them as all leaders started communication in English. Before it was divided into large number of states ruled by rajas, maharaja n nawab. Language n culture played major role in dividing the country. Before them india was never as large as during their rule.

Practically they affected each and everything in India and taught a lot to Indians. This list may contain many other things too.
However they had done more bad than good to Indians and some bads are mentioned here:
They had suppressed Indians and exploited Indian resources and ruined Indian industry. How much they had looted from Indian princely states, mughal emperor and public may not be estimated. They converted India from a golden bird to a country of hungry people and snake charmers. During their tenure India faced many famines. Famines became routine in Bengal, orrisa, chhattisgarh, jharkhand, andhra and Karnataka area. However all India was grain deficient.
GDP of India decreased considerably in their rule due to open loot by company officers. However Indian share in trade n commerce at world level during mughal rule was 25% which now decreased to approx nil. It was a land for raw material and no finished product was being made. All finished product were manufactured in Britain and supplied to India for consumption. Traditional industry was completely destroyed and InDian villages which were independent unit before company rule became dependent on cities for their daily needs. Employment was not available in villages. Indians were employed for minor n menial jobs.
In military they were maltreated and were at subordinate positions to British soldier. Their wages, pay and allowances were comparatively less and can't be complained. It was one of main reason of sepoy mutiny in 1857.
