The conflict between the nawabs of Bengal and east India Company is started when the Nawabs rejected to allowance the company acknowledgment and commanded huge honor for the company which is right to trade. Also the nawabs accused the company and claimed was depriving the government the Bengal.

- The East India company wanted to control the administration and dethrone the nawabs.
- They were appointed by the Bengal nawabs as revenue collectors (diwans).
- They were expected to collect the revenue and give to the Bengal nawabs but they didn't do so.
- Due to these reasons the battle of Plassey happened in 1799
