What were the common political characteristics of the rulers of the medieval period of Nepal? How far are they responsible for conflicts and misunderstanding between each other?

The Medieval period of Nepal was full of conflicts and competitions. Some kings and other strong people tried to settle down this kind of hatred and enmity. They tried to make an alliance with neighbouring countries for mutual co-operation and to maintain understanding among the kings.
