Population Policy focused on the distribution and composition of a human population, on the basis of fertility, migration, and mortality. The reason for population policy is to control or stabilizing the increasing population in order to have a more sustainable economy.
The reason for the increasing population is that poor people want their children to work with them which is why they go for more children and there are some people who want a male child because he can look after more duties of home. So when in 1976 the population increased more than usual Population Policy was proposed, Minister of Health and Family planning participated in the policymaking. This policy also focused on getting the girls educated and other policies which included the betterment of the economy.
