The above incident is related to the short story Feludar Goendagiri written by Satyajit Ray featuring Feluda as a private detective.

Once during Feluda`s trip to Darjeeling as a tourist along Topshe and Topshe's father he came across Rajen Majumdar. Rajen was a well known lawyer based out of Kolkata. After his retirement he settled in Darjeeling and started a new hobby of collecting antiques. He had immense interest in antiques, and soon became proud owner of huge antique collection with in six months .

One day Rajen received a letter threatening him of a punishment for his past misdeeds. He soon started to panic and decides Feluda to further investigate the matter.

Answer:

Key words: Feluda - wanted to know more about the letter. ‘Be prepared to pay for your

misdeeds’ - letters of the words had been cut and pasted - Rajen Babu and he would

recognise the handwriting- handwritten messages could expose the writer to sleuths- could

also add mystery to the whole act
