In 1904, the Russian workers went for a strike to get some demands fulfilled which were not otherwise catered.

Some of the main demands were a fixed working hour of eight hours, providing
better working conditions and an increase in the wages.

They were very much exploited and took the ultimate weapon of the strike to get their demands fulfilled.
