Answer:

!!HI BUDDY!!

The basic difference them : while Gandhiji beloves in segregation of knowledge based on people, country and time. In 1942 he professed burning of foreign cloth and use course swadishi cloth so also in education, asked student come out of school and colleges, rejrct western knowledge and in some cases burn those books. On the other hand Tagore beloves in universility of knowledge and it is above of any region or time. He was very much opened minded and beloves in exchange of idea and knowledge. That is why he invited the scholars in Shantiniketan. He objected Gandhiji's call to the student. He also never believed in khadi. To him it was a futile approach. In short while Gandhiji belived in conservative old thoughts and somewhat impractical and illogical and afraid to accept new ideas Tagore was completely opposite to it. His background and exposure to western thought and culture made him a man much advanced to his times.

The major difference between their theories is spiritualism. Mahatma Gandhi only focuses on education for moral development. But, Rabindranath Tagore focused on education for moral development and life after death. So, Rabindranath Tagore's idealism pervades with world brotherhood and love for God.
