There are different events that led to the partition:-

• The Congress party did well in the 1946s election for General Constituencies but the seat reserved for Muslims for the league's success was magnificent. It persevered with the demand for 'Pakistan'.
• India celebrates Independence day on 15th August and Pakistan celebrates its Independence on 14th August.
• In 1940, the Muslim federation had started a pledge and demanded a free state for Muslims.
• In the late 1930s, the organization began looking at the Muslims as a distinct state from the Hindus.
