Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in african prision and was released in 1990.Nelson Mandela's long walk from apartheid prisioner to south african president remade a country and inspired the world.the sharville massacre in 1960,when south africa police killed 69 protestors,was the last straw for mandela and other opponents of armed struggle.
