Though British education is considered a boom for India's struggle for Independence but there were some disadvantages as well :

1.  It was limited to particular class and didn't attracted the common masses.

2.  It created a gulf or gap between the educated and uneducated as the former had usually adopted the western life-style.

3.  It had a bad impact on traditional schooling system like Pathshala and Madrasa school system. There was a lack of indigenous religious and moral education.

4.  It disseminated the western culture in India.

5.  The Christianity spread in India more and more due to the Missionary schools which were disseminating British Education.

6.  The British education was also contrary to the needs and requirements of common masses.
