effects of deforestation

deforestation causes the following changes in the environment.

1.) the removal of forests leads to increased erosion of topsoil by wind and water to land degradation and consequently plants cannot grow in that region overtime soil erosion convert into a desertification

2.) the water observation capacity of soil is reduced leading to a reduction in groundwater the decrease in absorption of water by soil increases runoff on the surface thereby increasing the danger of floods when it rains heavily heavy ran- off can also lead to soil erosion

3. the habitats of animals are destroyed which may lead to extinction of some spaces over time

4.) when there are fever plants to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere the percentage of the gas in the atmosphere increases contributing to global warming this discuss the water cycle and causes melting of Ice and glaciers and the poles.

hope its help you.
