Answer:

The Revolt of 1857 was localized and poorly organized. Due to lack of communication facilities.

The lack of resources was another reason for the failure of the revolt.

No effective leadership: the rebels lacked an effective leader. Although Nana Saheb, Bahadur Shah Zafar||, Tantia Tope and Rani Lakshmi Bai were brave leaders, they could not offer effective leadership to the movement as a whole.

It was executed before the planned date and the leaders and sepoys failed to propogate it throughout the India.
