1 khadi clothes were much expensive as compare to machine made clothes.poor can't afford to buy.

2 the Indian students started attending government schools and lawyers came back to their courts.

3 Workers, industrialists, peasants, traders had their own understanding, of Gandhiji’s notion of ‘Swaraj.’ They started using violent methods for their demands. All this was not approved by Gandhiji and the Congress. So the movement started losing its shine.

4 Boycott of British institutions also posed a problem as there were no other Indian institutions.

5 The import of foreign cloth halved between 1921 and 1922, its value dropping from Rs.102 crore to Rs.57 crore. which forced to buy foreign clothes and to avoid khadi swadeshi clothes.
