FEARS OF PRINT :

Many were afraid of the effects that the easier access and wider circulation of book would have on people's mind.

✴it was feared that if there was no control over what was printed than a religious and rebellious thoughts might spread

✴then the authority of valuable literature would be destroyed

Many people feared the spread of print. This can be easily explained with the help of an example.

✴In India : In India, the Muslim Ulamas were deeply anxious about the spread of print because of which the colonial rulers could change the personal laws of Muslims. They also countered this thing with the help of print.

✴In Europe : Many people read books and came with ideas that supported reason and rationality. They stood up against the churches. One such thing gave rise to the Protestants.
