1. No discrimination: Buddhism did not discriminate among people on the basis of their caste, creed and status etc, unlike Hinduism, where only the upper three Varnas had the right to perform sacred rituals.
2. Opposition to Hinduism: Buddhism criticized Hinduism and the sacrifices encouraged by it.
3. Old lifestyle: the use of coins changed the old lifestyle of people thus many of them wanted to go back to their old lifestyle. Buddhism prevented people from keeping the money.
