*They opposed the uncontrolled power of dynastic rulers and wanted elected parliamentary government, well-trained and independent judiciary.

* they did not believe in Universal adult franchise and felt that men of property mainly should have the right to vote.

Radicals:-

* they wanted a nation in which government was based on the majority of countrie's population.

* supported women's suffragette movement.

* they opposed the privileges of great landowners and wealthy factory owners.

* they were not against the existence of private property but disliked concentration of property in the hands of few.
