The Chernobyl nuclear disaster happens in April 1986 at Chernobyl Ukraine
The causes of this disaster are as follows;
- Presence of large positive void coefficient which was possessed by the nuclear reactor.
- Stem bubbles are associated to raise the core reactivity.
- The coolant contains lots of stem bubbles which slowed the neutron's movement.
- The other cause of this incident is the design of control rods, which was found 1.3 m shorter than the stipulated one.
