the hand writing was sometimes hard to read
manuscripts were written in leaves or barks of trees.so there were chances that pests would destroy it
when a scribe copied a manuscript they introduced small changes-a word or maybe the sentence.these small differences grew over the centuries of copying until the manuscript got a different meaning

not only in india most of the acient countries have this same problem beacause they have more and more acient manuskripts. there are many limitations for this type of manuskripts the main and the most inportant is the problem of the skribes when in old times the manuskripts where copied by hand in old times not every body know to write people who know to write are known as skribes they were learned people and where given an inportant postion in the socity when they copied the manuskripts they made changes like one sentence here one word their over the time the changes grew and the text became completly different from the original
