The nawab of Bengal Aliwardi Khan was a powerful administrator and kept the foreign traders at bay . After his death, his grandson Siraj ud Daulah took over control over Bengal. At this time Robert Clive started his fortification over Calcutta. This angered him and he took back Calcutta. When Robert Clive heard about the fall of Calcutta he set out with an army of 900 Europeans and 1200 sepoys led to this war (pardon me for my bad English it’s not my first language )
