Answer:Crusades were taking place, other important changes were occurring in medieval society. Between 1000 and 1300, agriculture, trade, and finance made significant advances. Towns and cities grew. This was in part due to the growing population and to territorial expansion of western Europe
Answer: 1.During the medieval age, many social, economic and political developments took place. 2.Gap between rich and poor increased. 3. Society was divided on the basis of Varnas.

3. Tribal societies Tribes do not follow norms laid by the society. They were herders or hunter gatherers. They were dependent on agriculture. They were nomadic and moved from place to place.

7. The Pastoral nomads moved from place to place with their herd of animals. They exchanged milk , ghee, wool, with farmers for grains, cloth and utensils. Pastoral tribes reared and sold animals like horses and cattle to prosperous people
8. Most important trader nomads were Banjaras. Their caravan was called ‘tanda’. Sultan Alauddin Khilji used Banjaras to move grains to the city markets. They transported foodgrain for Mughal army during battles.
9. The Gonds(Jabalpur and Bhopal) Gonds are reffered as Gondi. They practice Shifting cultivation. They arose when Delhi Sultanate declined. The Gond Kingdom Gondwana in Madhya Pradesh was famous in 15th century.
10. Rani Durgavati is still remembered for her courage and valour. She ruled in the 16th century on behalf of her 5 year old son. She refused to bow before Akbar and fought the huge Mughal forces. She was wounded in the battle and stabbed herself.
11. Ahoms They established Ahom kingdom in Assam(old name : Kamarupa), and ruled for 600 years. They call in Asam, and people were called Assamese or Asamiya.

14. Suhungmung was the first Ahom King to adopt a Hindu name Swarga Narayan. Peasants,poets and scholars were given land by the village community.
15. They encourage theatre. Sanskrit books were translated into local language. A bulk of historical work known as ‘Buranjis’ were written in Ahom and later translated in Assamese
