On 31st January, 1930 Gandhiji sent a letter to viceroy Irwin stating 11 demands, the two main demands were:
1.Reduction of land revenue
2. Abolition of salt tax
the first point is mainly about Famers and industrialists, the second point is about salt. Salt is a natural product and is consumed by both rich and poor, it is like a necessity and putting a tax over salt was very unfair to indians.
I hope this helpes you!!!
