Explanation:

  • In France, the July Revolution of 1830 or the Three Glorious Days sometimes culminated in the toppling of Charles X, the French monarch and the rise of  his cousin -Louis Philippe, Duke of Orleans.
  • This established the July Revolution, a liberal revolution that marked the culmination of the "Bourbon Restoration". The power of the "House of Bourbon" had become its cadet branch, the"House of Orleans", thus substituting popular sovereignty for the principle of hereditary rights. Bourbon supporters were called "Legitimists" & Louis Philippe's supporters were called "Orleanists"
  • Charles X of France followed a much more rigid approach than his brother, Louis XVIII, seeking to rule in the manner of  as absolute monarch, and to reaffirm the dominance of the Catholic Church in France. Blasphemy activities I Church were punishable by death & press freedom had been heavily restricted. Finally, he offered to repay the nobles' families, which during the Revolution had their properties lost.
  • A few years after Charles X's rule, unrest began to develop amongst the people of France, because of economic downturn, rise of the liberal press, & resistance to conservative politics.
  • The disagreement caused by these changes & the authoritarian nomination as minister by Charles X of the Ultra-Prince de Polignac culminated in a Paris revolt known as the July Revolution of 1830. Three days of war preceded marches and demonstrations
  • The July 1830 revolution established a constitutional monarchy. On 2nd August, Charles X and his son the Dauphin abdicated and departed for the United Kingdom. While Charles expected that Henry V ( grandson the Duke of Bordeaux) should take the throne of his, the politicians comprising provisional govt had placed Louis Philip from the House of Orleans, a distant relative, who decided to rule as constitutional monarch, was placed on the throne. The period was known as the" July Monarchy"
  • Charles' abdication marks the end of France's Bourbon dynasty. The July revolution inspired the Polish rise against Russia 's rule in November, although it did not succeed in this and Russia annexed Poland in its entirety. However, the Revolution of August in Brussels, which eventually created a small country called Belgium, was more successful.
