Civil war in Sri Lanka was caused due to conflict between Sinhalese and Tamils.

Sinhale was made the official language and more benefits were provided to them.

Tamil form their own organisation and fought to make Tamil as their official language.

Their demands were not fulfilled by the govt.

The rivaly became so intense among the two communities that it appears like a war.

Hence caused the civil war.
