The main features cities during later vedic period were, three later vedas were witnessed by this age, they were of the following names -
1)Samveda Samhita
2)Yajurveda Samhita
3)Atharvaveda Samhita
During this period two epics were also emerged the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. All the vedic texts were compiled on the upper Gangetic basin in the years 1000 B.C to 600 B.C.
