The major provisions of the treaty of Versailles are-

1.Germany lost all its overseas colonies, one tenth of its population, and 40%of it's territories.

2.It also lost 75%of it's coal and 26%of it's iron in Poland,Russia and Denmark.

3.Germany was demilitarised.

4.Germany had to pay the war compensation of 6 billion pounds.

6. The resource rich Rhineland was occupied by the elite powers.
