One of the negative aspect of his charecter that we can note is his extreme passion for conquering the throne. Sure it helped him to retain his control over the enormous empire but it also at times hindered his personal and spiritual relations. Though being a rational person, Akbar could never overcome his emperor self.All of his policies were backed by diplomatic motives.
