when there is a change in the Magnetic flux linked with coil, electricity is induced in the coil. this is called electromagnetic induction. the current thus induced is induced current. the voltage induced is the induced emf.
when magnet is brought closer to the solenoid, the Magnetic flux linked with solenoid increases.
Michael faraday shows that a current carrying conductor, kept in a magnetic field, can move. As a result of his experiment he generate electricity from a magnetic field.
