Lives of People during ancient times varied base of country, but I will explain some details of a life of lower class Roman citizens. Some were farmers, soldiers, fishermen and tanners. They had to pay taxes, living conditions sometimes were bad, but some were rather good and was basically a modern day American Middle class citizen but with less advance technologies and culture since Roman society was sort of similar but different. Housing for poorer citizens were apartments and maybe a villa for some. Many went to public baths since they didn’t have piped water.
