They argued for representative , elected parliament government , subject to laws intrepted by well-trained judiciary of rulers and officials . They were not 'democrats' as they did not believe in UNIVERSAL ADULT FRENCHISE ,ie , the rigth of every citizen to vote . The were against the women's right to vote . They felt that men of property mainly should have tge right to vote .
